Cats Vs Dogs

Please notice the correct usage (again) of the abbreviation for versus.

I have owned cats and dogs (and love them both). Right now, I have a cat. His name is Zedd. His name came from 2 sources. Firstly, a wizard named Zeddicus Zul Zorander in my favourite novel series (The Sword of Truth) and secondly a Slovakian hockey player named Richard Zednik. My last cat's name also started with the letter "Z". His name was Ziggy (also named after a Slovakian hockey player- Ziggy Palffy).  Noticing a theme here?
